SYNC 2019 Enhancement Voting
Submit enhancement requests here for the SYNC 2019 Enhancement Voting session.

To be considered, here are the requirements:

  • The enhancement must be beneficial to the majority of Share One credit unions.
  • Your credit union must be able to explain the requested change and the benefit.
  • Deadline for submitting entries is May 31, 2019.

Share One will review all entries and narrow down to seven finalists. Attending credit unions will vote at conference, and submitting credit unions can campaign for votes. The three winning enhancements will be announced Wednesday, September 18, and moved to the front of the development queue for early completion.
Collaboration is a Top Priority for Share One
Programming decisions and product design require client feedback on functionality, look and feel, report output, and member-facing product usage.

Share One has selected the Microsoft Teams software package to facilitate this collaborative method. When you are invited into a discussion, you can offer ideas and engage in conversation with Share One employees and other clients. After a consensus by the group is achieved, Share One will get to work.

We look forward to your participation. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with  a tutorial on Microsoft Teams  . Teams has both functionality and affordability.

Please contact  Scott Bush  for further information.
NewSolutions Release Schedule for 2019
New Customer Portal Roll Out Coming in April
Coming soon!

Within the next few weeks, look for a link at the top right of the current Portal to access the new Customer Portal .

Important instructions and documentation will explain the process your credit union users will follow to access this new portal. The link near the sign-on area will include a Duo Two-Factor Authentication Enrollment guide. A Customer Portal help document will be available inside the Portal at the Help option.

Your credit union will determine an admin user and contact Share One with that information. A Duo Admin Panel guide will be sent to the proposed Duo admin user from your credit union.

The new Portal will be a central space for your credit union to access important features and searchable information related to our Core and NS3 products, like release notes, manuals, and links to production/pre-production (testing) sites. Additionally, the new Portal will include an upgrade scheduling tool that integrates into your Outlook calendar.
Compliance: OFAC
The NewSolutions integrated OFAC screening tool, strips out all of the punctuation from both names before being searched. This eliminates problems with hyphens, initials, etc.

As a reminder, the following products and services are subject to OFAC screening requirements:

  • Deposit accounts, any type
  • Checking/share draft accounts
  • Money Orders, teller/official checks, travelers checks or other monetary instruments
  • Wire transfers
  • ACH Transactions
  • Loans - including consumer, mortgage or business loans
  • VISA accounts
  • Trust accounts
  • Sales of repossessed vehicles
  • Safe deposit boxes
  • Vendors

Failing to check these transactions against the OFAC list can put your credit union at risk of doing business with blocked entities or individuals and the fines can be costly, even if they are self-reported. Since the SDN list can be changed at any time, member records should be screened periodically to make sure current member have not been added to the list.
