2017 Maryland State ODP Tryouts now OPEN!

The online tryout registration for U12-17 players (players born in 2000 through 2006) is now OPEN!

A number of improvements are being implemented to the 2017 Maryland State ODP Season:
-Tryouts for the 2017 Maryland State ODP (U13-17) are beginning in September
-The U13-16 pools will have two callback tryouts to further aid in the selection process
-The U13-17 parents meeting for selected players is being held on November 17
-Training for the U13-17 boys and U13-15 girls will begin on Sunday, January 22 (indoors) and there will be two additional indoor training sessions (February 5 & 19) along with "chalk-talks" prior to the VA Friendlies (February 24-26, 2017) 

The online registration for the U13-17 players (players born in 2000-2004) will close on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 12:00 noon.

The online registration for the U12 players (players born in 2006 and 2005) will close on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 12:00 noon.
International Trips

The Maryland State ODP will be offering our ODP teams the opportunity to travel internationally in 2017. MSYSA believes that offering our players the opportunity to play against top professional academy teams and engage in a higher level of competition are important in their development as a player.  
 
After the completion of another very successful tour for our ODP teams in 2016, MSYSA will continue to use WorldStrides Excel as our exclusive travel provider.
 
The 2017 international soccer tour will be taking place Sunday, April 9th - Monday, April 17th, 2017. Travel will be open to the U13-U17 boys and girl's teams. Destination and age group information is as follows:
  • 2004 Boys - Scotland
  • 2004 Girls - London, England
  • 2002 Boys - Barcelona, Spain (also open to 2003 boys)
  • 2002 Girls - Barcelona, Spain (also open to 2003 girls)
  • 2000 & 2001 Boys - Venice, Italy
  • 2002 & 2001 Girls - Venice, Italy
All tours will include training, match play against elite academy teams, stadium tours, cultural activities and attendance at professional matches.
