WEDNESDAY, MARCH 31 WEBINAR
Caregiver Relief Program
Alzheimer's Association
11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

As dementia progresses, care costs continue to change. The Alzheimer’s Association (AA) recommends putting financial plans in place at the time of diagnosis to best prepare for the future as insurance may not cover all costs.

The AA Greater Missouri Chapter’s Caregiver Relief Program includes Care Consultations which take a whole-person, whole-family approach to creating a customized, comprehensive needs assessment. The result is an individualized action plan to address unmet needs and link caregivers with a cadre of resources and community support. The Caregiver Relief Program also reimburses caregivers up to $700 for qualified respite-related services.

During this webinar, the AA Greater Missouri Chapter will talk about its care consultations and how to qualify for up to $700 reimbursement for qualified respite expenses. The Caregiver Relief Program, delivered by the Alzheimer’s Association, reimburses caregivers for:
  • Assessments and care coordination
  • Adult day care
  • In-home care
  • Nutritional supplements
  • Safety and supportive programs
  • Education programs
  • Counseling services

Reimbursements for a family is capped at $700 per year, per person with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Emergency respite is also available.

Enrollment begins with a call to the Alzheimer’s Association 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900) to set up a Care Consultation.
