Now, here is what's making news for the week of October 16, 2019:
City Council reviews new Mission District Economic Analysis and Market Study
Earlier this year, the City Council approved an agreement with AECOM to conduct a Mission District study that would evaluate the City’s historic core. Several months later, AECOM completed their study with several recommendations to improve economic development in the area. Their findings were presented at last night's City Council meeting.

Mosquito forum held on October 19
Learn more about mosquito prevention at a mosquito forum hosted by Senator Anthony J. Portantino on Saturday, October 19 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Jack Scott Room located at 3035 East Foothill Boulevard in Pasadena.

The forum will be held in collaboration with the Vector Control Districts, including the Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District and the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District.
Rocky Horror screening and contest October 18
Rocky Horror fans: be sure to watch the 1975 cult classic "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" on Friday, October 18 at 11:59 p.m. Doors open at 11:00 p.m. with a costume contest immediately after the showing with prizes awarded to the top three!
