(August 27, 2019) - Join The Conference Board of Canada for the Newfoundland and Labrador Future Skills Centre Regional Soundings Tour on October 30, 2019 at Memorial University’s Signal Hill Campus, St. John's or on October 31, 2019 at the Eagle’s Perch Clubhouse, Humber Valley Resort, west coast.

For the stop in Newfoundland and Labrador, The Conference Board of Canada has partnered with the NL Workforce Innovation Centre administered by the College of the North Atlantic to deliver these events.

Individuals who are engaged or interested in the skills and training community are invited to share their expertise on the diverse future skills needs of the region.


The Future Skills Centre aims to identify emerging in-demand skills across the country, with the goal of helping Canadians prepare for a changing workforce. This cross-Canada tour will engage diverse communities to learn about their region’s priorities. This information will help inform the Future Skills Centre’s research and investment strategies.

This free event will include a brief introduction to the Future Skills Centre’s mandate and objectives. Following that, voice your thoughts and ideas in small group conversations about how the Future Skills Centre can best support the province today for workforce opportunities of the future.

There are two opportunities to participate:

Breakfast session: October 30, 8:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m. at Memorial University’s Signal Hill Campus, St. John's

Lunch session: October 31, 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at Eagle’s Perch Clubhouse, Humber Valley Resort, west coast

We want to hear your perspective. By registering and participating you will be joining a pan-Canada stakeholder network focused on the future of work in Canada.
