Class N License Meeting on July 25
*Business Brainstorming Meeting on License Applications*
The Midway Chamber of Commerce and the City of Saint Paul would like to invite you to a business brainstorming meeting on the community notification and petition requirements related to specific business license applications.
The Department of Safety and Inspections (DSI) and the offices of Councilmembers Prince, Noecker and Thao, are evaluating business license application processes. Our goal is to balance the neighborhoods providing input on business applications, while simplifying and speeding up the process for business owners.
The current process can be cumbersome and time-consuming for business applicants, and the community input processes don’t always allow for easy involvement. We will be looking at simplifying and standardizing the requirements for community notification and petition processes for Class N Licenses (which encompass twenty-four different license types – including liquor and entertainment, pawn shops, animal day care, gas stations, etc.).
