From the Central Virginia Small Business Development Center
June 23, 2021

Our offices are expected to open to the public in August with limited in person meetings by appointment for whiteboarding strategy sessions, business expansion, sale and purchases, and more.

New programs continue to give you the information you need NOW, like how blockchain contracts and cryptocurrency may impact your business. And as always, our team of 9 local business and technical experts are here for you, when you need us, free of charge. We also help you tap into federal, state, and local professionals -- all here to help you succeed.

SBA in the News
New SBA administrator, Isabella Guzman, shared thoughts with 'The Guardian' on how the SBA's resources can help the small business community as the economy reopens.
“The SBA has always been the best kept secret in government, and we don’t want to be that,” she told me in a recent podcast interview. “We want to be known.”
Guzman highlights the resources offered by the Small Business Development network for the small business community.

In a subsequent 'Inc.' article, Guzman states,  "For our economy to recover, we have to transform our programs and services to really meet these businesses where they are at." Three topics covered are a deeper pool of resources, friendlier loan terms and greater accessibility.
