This interactive conference will include collaborative break-out rooms and networking sessions, presentations on best practices for addressing the opioid crisis, the nuts and bolts of opioid settlement funds, and practical strategies for leveraging state and national resources.

The conference is for all members of the Regional Opioid Abatement Councils, local government representatives, providers, subject matter experts, and community stakeholders engaged in opioid abatement in Colorado. There is no cost to attend.

While you’re already in the area, consider attending the Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council’s (CBHC's) 2026 Behavioral Health Conference, taking place September 30–October 3 at Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge.

This year’s theme, “Meeting the Moment for Communities,” will bring together behavioral health leaders, providers, and partners from across Colorado for learning, connection, and collaboration.

Colorado Highlighted at National Opioid Settlement Conference

Colorado was front and center last week as Denver hosted the first-ever National Opioid Settlement Conference, a first-of-its-kind convening focused on ensuring opioid settlement funds are used equitably, transparently, and effectively.

The conference highlighted Colorado’s leadership in turning settlement dollars into community-driven action, including our state’s regional abatement model, focus on transparency, and investments in treatment, recovery, harm reduction, and prevention.

Attorney General Phil Weiser delivered the conference keynote, sharing important lessons from Colorado’s experience and underscoring the work still ahead. We invite readers to review Attorney General Weiser’s full remarks to learn more on Colorado’s approach and continued leadership in this critical effort.
