Register now for the Southeast Freight Conference and Port Night in Memphis Nov. 7-8

Register now to reserve your spot at the largest gathering of shipping and logistics professionals who move freight in, out, and through the U.S. Southeast returns to Memphis Nov. 7-8.
The 3rd Southeast Freight Conference convenes November 7 at the Hilton Memphis and runs through Nov. 8, culminating that evening with the 61st New Orleans Port Night Gala of dinner, live music and dancing at the classic Peabody Hotel, with over 1,000 industry professionals expected for both events combined.
"We are delighted, and honored, to be partnered with Cargo Business News in this special event that pairs the 61-year-old New Orleans Port Night gala up with what has already become the go-to industry gathering in our part of the country - the Southeast Freight Conference," said Katie Hooser, president of the Memphis World Trade Club.
This year's conference will be held once again in the ever-emerging inland freight hub of Memphis, TN, where all five Class One railroads operate substantial intermodal facilities, along with several huge distribution centers occupied by global shippers.
The U.S. Southeast boasts a population of over 78 million and is an expanding gateway for global freight moving between key U.S. and overseas cargo markets.
The Southeast Freight Conference addresses themes pertinent to the global supply chain's vital connection to the region and its developing infrastructure. From all global points, if you are moving cargo through the U.S. Southeast, this event is aimed at you.
"Last year's kickoff of holding this event in Memphis was a great success and I think we've topped ourselves this time out with the overall caliber of speakers and ancillary functions," said Peter Hurme, publisher of Northwest Publishing Center, and senior editor of Cargo Business News.
This year's event features keynotes by chief executives of MOL, Fedex, and Dunavant. The conference will also feature a series of "case studies" that covers supply chains from different regions of the U.S. that connect to the southeast, including unique perspectives from companies like BNSF, CSX, Louis Dreyfus, TBC Corp., and Williams-Sonoma.
Other agenda highlights include: Southeast shippers' roundtable with Carhartt, Li & Fung; economic forecasts and expertise from noted industry economists Paul Bingham and Walter Kemmsies; and two different presentations that involve Norfolk Southern's Crescent Corridor connection to Memphis and the railroad's innovative intermodal project at Charlotte Douglas Airport in North Carolina.
In addition, a special Virtual Facility Tour will be conducted at conference's end of Mitsubishi Electric's $200 million multi-modal project in Memphis.
Ancillary networking events include: the grand New Orleans Port Night Gala; CBN's popular collaboration dinners; nighttime Fedex Hub tour; and receptions at the conference.
"The only way is up for this important event as all nodes of the logistics supply chain converge in Memphis for this truly power-packed annual gathering," said Hurme.
