Register to Attend the CAEP Summit 2023

Registration is filling up quite nicely! Adult Education practitioners are excited to attend the CAEP Summit 2023 in person at the Hilton Universal City. Be one of the several hundred adult education practitioners who will attend this year’s conference. If you have not done so already, register now to join other CAEP practitioners for a two and half day thought-provoking, engaging and fun learning experience. The CAEP Summit 2023 is an opportunity for adult education practitioners to share and discuss innovative and effective promising practices, strategies, and other resources anchored in the CAEP State Priorities: Equity, Leadership, Learner Transition, Marketing, Program Development, Program Evaluation, and Technology and Distance Learning.


The registration cost to attend the CAEP Summit 2023 is $450 until August 25, 2023, then will be $550. Please encourage your colleagues to register and attend. Registration includes access to the following: All meal functions, all general and breakout sessions, exhibitor corner, and networking social.

Room Block at the Hilton Universal City


The CAEP Summit 2023 Planning Committee received an update from the Hilton Universal City hotel. The original room block has sold out. A few additional rooms have been made available at a rate of $319 per night. These are very limited. Use the following link to secure your spot now as the room block will sell out FAST! Booking your room is simple, just select "Book a Room" to receive your group's preferred rate. 

 

If you prefer booking by phone, contact the In-House Reservations Dept. at 818-623-1434 from 7am-7pm, Monday-Sunday. Please have the attendees refer to the group code SCOE when booking. 

 

Once the room block has sold out, there are nearby neighboring hotels that you can explore including the Sheraton which is adjacent to the conference hotel.

LARAEC is Conducting a Search for a New Project Director (Coordinator)

The Los Angeles Regional Adult Education Consortium is conducting a search for a new Project Director (Coordinator). The Project Director (Coordinator) of LARAEC manages and facilitates the development and implementation of the LARAEC Regional Comprehensive Plan. Under the direction of the Executive Director, Adult and Career Education, the Project Director will organize, manage, and direct plans to coordinate the consortium activities and strategies as identified in the consortium Regional Comprehensive Plan across the member districts and community colleges. Application materials must be e-mailed to the Division of Adult and Career Education to Angie Corona at [email protected]. Include the following in the e-mail subject line: “Coordinator, LARAEC; Applicant Name.”

The CAEP Consortium Management Webinar Series is still running strong! The purpose of the CAEP Consortium Management Webinar Series is to engage CAEP consortia and members in a series of webinars aligned to the CAEP annual deliverables and effective management of the consortium.

CAEP Deliverable Reminders

The 2023-24 Annual Plan is due in NOVA by August 15, 2023. The Annual Plan is a subset of the CAEP 2022-25 Three-Year Plan.


Quarter 4 Expenditure Report

The Quarter 4 member expenditure report is due in NOVA on September 1, 2023. The consortium will have until September 30, 2023 to certify the reports.


CAEP Program Area Report - Estimates NOT Due



The CAEP Program Area report estimates, typically due in NOVA by September 1, will no longer be required.


The consortium must certify the Program Area Report by December 1, 2023.


CAEP Budget and Workplan Due Date





The Member Program Year Budget and Work Plan is due in NOVA by September 30, 2023. The consortium will have to certify the plans by October 30, 2023.
