Diane Snyder-Cowan, MA, MT-BC, CHPCA, retired as the Director of the Western Reserve Grief Services of Hospice of the Western Reserve in September 2020 after 20 years. She oversaw the nonprofit agency’s on-site and community bereavement programs as well as the music therapy and art therapy programs, chaired Hospice of the Western Reserve’s Ethics Committee and the trauma informed end-life-care champion work group. She has presented at both the regional and national levels and is a leading national expert on the topics of grief, loss and survivorship, community crisis, trauma informed care and grief following an opioid-related death.
Janet Rooney, APRN, is a certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and a licensed Advance Practice Registered Nurse (A.P.R.N.) in Connecticut. She has a private psychotherapy practice in Wallingford, CT and more recently on Zoom! Prior to diving into full time private practice, Ms. Rooney worked in both leadership and staff roles in mental health out-patient clinic settings and in-patient psychiatric facilities. Her favorite part of psychiatric nursing remains direct patient care. 
Patty Harris, APRN., PMHCNS-BC is an Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 30 years of experience in private practice with a special interest in grief and bereavement. She is currently a co-leader for the TriCircle, Inc. sponsored group "Hope After Loss", a bereavement group which provides support for people who have lost loved ones from substance use.
Kim Starr, BA, MAAT, has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University and a Master of Arts in Art Therapy (MAAT) from Albertus Magnus College. Kim has supported The Cove Center for Grieving Children, a non-profit grief support group for children for nearly 23 years, using art as a means of expression when the words were too difficult to find. Kim is a Certified Grief Counselor and has filed for Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure with the state of CT and certification as a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) with the Art Therapy Credential Board.
Barbara Giangreco, MS, LMFT, Cht, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a certified Hypnotherapist, Reiki Practitioner, and Grief Counselor. Barbara has been a Director for the Cove Center for Grieving Children’s Family program for the past 19 years. She has a Private Therapy Practice in Wallingford, CT. Barbara is also currently working with TriCircle, Inc to help support victims of the Opioid Crisis, their families and loved ones.
