IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLAYER SKILL LEVEL
We want everyone to be able to participate, regardless of skill level, but we want everyone to have fun too. Therefore, it is very important for us to know the skill level of each player so we can try to ensure we have a competitive mix of players on each team. Please consult the descriptions below and choose the one that best fits your skill level so that you can select the correct option during registration.

NOVICE (D)
A beginner to the organized game. May have played pond hockey as a kid. He/she has begun playing the organized game as an adult and may only have one to five years of playing experience. The basic skills of the game i.e. skating, shooting, and passing are in their infancy and are the main focus of their development.

INTERMEDIATE (C-, C)
A less experienced adult recreational player with some youth hockey playing experience. The player has limited understanding of where they should be positioned on the ice. Forward and backward skating may be somewhat strong, but maneuverability and transition still needs work.

UPPER INTERMEDIATE (C, C+)
This is a more advanced C player. He/she might be an experienced adult recreational player and may have played club or JV in high school. Forward and backward skating may be strong, with more fluid maneuverability and transitional play than the lower level "c" player.

ADVANCED (B)
This player is an advanced level adult player with highly developed basic hockey skills, along with a good understanding of team play. He/She is aware of the on-ice positional play. Forward and backward skating skills are strong with solid transitional play. They may have played at the varsity level in high school or a non-sponsored club team in college.

EXPERT (A)
This player has mastered the basic skills of the game and would be considered an elite level adult player. He/She probably played at the highest levels of organized hockey. This would include any player that played professionally, for a division I, II or III college team, or in a junior program.

Sponsorships Available! We hope to see you on Thursday, March 23, 2020!
