"This year we've restructured a few things to make the convention even better," said Roxanne Gard, convention committee chair. The
streamlined agenda includes a single time block for the tradeshow and the conclusion on Tuesday night instead of Wednesday morning. "We pay close attention to the convention survey results each year and know how valuable our attendees' time is, so we want to make sure every minute counts," Gard said.
The annual risk management tour will be held at the
Indiana Farmers Coliseum on the state fair grounds. The facility was built in 1939 and underwent a $53 million renovation in 2012. Those taking the tour will get a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the versatile building. There are
9.5 hours submitted for CE credit throughout the event, featuring a variety of topics and multiple options during the Monday time slots so attendees can pick the ones most relevant to their work.
The Hunt for Cash game returns with a $500 giveaway for eligible agents on Tuesday. The tradeshow again includes more than 100 exhibitors and a silent auction raising money for two separate charities. This year's event also includes the popular Who's Who Happy Hour and the Emerging Leaders' football party on Monday night. The party will be held in a private room at Rock Bottom Brewery, a short walk from convention headquarters at the Westin Hotel.
"We're so excited about the agenda this year," said Gard. "Whether you love exploring the tradeshow, keeping up with the latest industry info in a class or chatting with colleagues over a drink, there's something for everyone!"
