We’re excited to announce that Early Bird Registration for Franc.2026, the official conference of Stormwater NSW, is now open!

To make it easier for organisations to attend as a team, we’re pleased to offer a special 3-for-the-price-of-2 registration option for groups. Read on for further details.

The Conference, which will be delivered in partnership with the ACT Government and held at the Canberra Rex Hotel, will feature two days of conference presentations on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October. A day of Pre-Conference Workshops will be held on Tuesday, 27 October, and a Technical Tour on Friday, 30 October showcasing practical examples of stormwater management in the region.

Under the theme "Be Franc and Drive Change" this conference will showcase best practice stormwater management in both the ACT and NSW.

Fiona Wright

Executive Group Manager, Climate Change, Energy, Water and Waste division

ACT Governement

Fiona Wright is an executive leader with more than 25 years’ experience across water, energy and sustainability policy, infrastructure and service delivery.

She is currently the Executive Group Manager for Climate Change, Energy and Water in the ACT Government’s City and Environment Directorate, where she oversees the Office of Water and leads work to protect and enhance the Territory’s water resources, improve urban water management, and integrate water into broader climate and city-shaping decisions.

Professor Tony Wong

Profesor of Sustainable Development

Monash Sustainable Development Insitute

Tony Wong is Professor of Sustainable Development at Monash University. A civil engineer with a PhD in Water Engineering and over 40 years’ experience, he is internationally recognised for pioneering Water Sensitive Urban Design and advancing cities’ transition to Water Sensitive Cities. His work has reshaped urban water management by integrating nature-based solutions, socio-technical innovation and design-led thinking, while bridging academia, industry and government.
