Registration is now open for clergy and lay delegates to register to attend the Special Council to elect the 11th Bishop of Southern Virginia.

All clergy and lay delegates must register in order to attend. The registration fee is $25 per person, and a box lunch (vegan option available) is included with registration. Due to space limitations only canonically resident clergy, either active or retired, and certified lay delegates will be able to attend this Special Council. We are unable to accommodate lay alternates, visitors, or clergy who are not canonically resident in Southern Virginia.

Churches must have submitted a current, valid Certificate of Lay Delegates and Alternates in order to register their lay delegates. Churches are encouraged to register their delegates as a group. Lay members of the Standing Committee and Executive Board are encouraged to register through their churches.

Delegate check-in will begin at 9:00 a.m.; Holy Eucharist will start at 10:00 a.m., to be followed immediately by the election. Clergy will not vest for the Eucharist.

Ballot results will be posted as soon as they are available, both on the diocesan website and Facebook page.
