Registration Opens for the 125th USAHA and 64th AAVLD Annual Meeting

USAHA and AAVLD are pleased to announce that registration is now available for participants of the 2021 Annual Meeting, scheduled for October 22-26, 2021 at the Gaylord Rockies Convention Center in Denver, CO. The meeting also includes pre-conference committee sessions beginning October 4.

View the Full Schedule at https://www.usaha.org/2021-agenda. This year marks the 125th annual meeting for USAHA, and the first ever hybrid meeting.

“USAHA is steeped in traditions over its 125 years as a leader in animal health,” says USAHA President Charlie Hatcher, DVM and Tennessee Commissioner of Agriculture. “We’re excited to celebrate this important anniversary, with the opportunity to see each other in Denver.”

The 2021 Program brings a condensed schedule for in-person meetings, with several sessions taking place prior to gathering.

Dusty Oedekoven, USAHA President Elect and Program chair for 2021 has led the charge along with the USAHA Executive Committee, and AAVLD counterparts to form a program that rises to the challenges in hosting a meeting this year. “We recognize the desire and need to get back together in person, one of the many important benefits of the USAHA annual meeting. At the same time, the pandemic presents an ongoing barrier to travel for some. There is a need to continue to provide for virtual access in this environment.”

Program Highlights

  • USAHA Committees will have both a pre-meeting virtual session, to focus on presentations and reports, and an in-person session to feature discussion, business, key presentations and committee business on Monday, October 25.
  • USAHA Subcommittees will meet only during pre-meeting sessions.
  • USAHA has invited USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack to provide the Keynote Presentation on Tuesday, October 26. In addition, the USAHA annual meeting provides for numerous opportunities to take in scientific presentations as well as updates on key issues and discussion from stakeholder groups, USAHA districts and the National Assembly of State Animal Health Officials. AAVLD will also have their offering of scientific presentations and posters.

And of course, the President’s Dinner will provide an opportunity to gather and recognize the outstanding work of our peers.
