GVBL 2022-2023 Winter Rec League Has Arrived!  

Registration for GVBL Winter Rec League is now open. This will be our 22nd year of bringing the GV community this outstanding youth basketball program. Planning for the winter league began months ago and GVBL expects this to be another fantastic year of basketball.

Once again due to the limited amount of gym space, the GVBL Winter Rec League will be open to ONLY GVSD residents with limited spots per division. GVBL will once again offer divisions for girls and boys in grades 1-8 and a boys HS division. Skills Assessments will begin 10/17.

The Junior Hoopsters program for 4-5 year olds will open in late October.

During the season, there will be a one hour weeknight practice and a one hour game on the weekend. Games and practices will be held at a location within GVSD boundaries. During registration, we allow parents to choose one day a week that will NOT work for practice in order to allow some flexibility in scheduling other activities

We will release a skills assessment schedule next week. Each child is asked to attend at least one skills assessment session. Results from assessments will help in balancing the teams for each division.

Skills assessments will be held at the Phelps School from October 17th-28th. A schedule of specific dates/times will be released early next week.

Give back to the community this winter by volunteering to coach with GVBL this coming season.

GVBL tournament teams play at a higher competition level than our GVBL Winter Recreational League. The commitment to practice is greater, the development of the players is accelerated and there is an additional cost associated with this program.

Caring Hands is a student-led volunteer group that supports the community through various activities. Students in grades 7-12 and their parents can sign up for the Constant Contact Caring Hands News distribution list for the 2022-23 school year.

Cradles 2 Crayons Philadelphia supports people facing clothing insecurity in the Philadelphia region including Malvern and Chester County. The hub will be a convenient year round location for donations and a focal point for the annual Caring Hands collection drive this Fall.
