Hello Florida PTA Family!

I'm excited to invite you to join us in July for our annual Florida Parent Teacher Association Leadership Convention. Our theme for the 2022 Leadership Convention is "Find Your Path" and our theme for the term is "A Family of Advocates for ALL Children!". This year we will be hosting our Leadership Convention in person and it will be held at a new location for the first time in 34 years!  

Our Leadership Convention will be held July 21-24, 2022 at the Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate, Florida. Please save the date and plan to join us on this new path. We are offering special pricing for those that register early (see details in the links below).

If this will be your first time attending, you'll experience amazing training and networking opportunities like nothing you've seen before! If you are returning for the umpteenth time, I promise that you won't regret your decision to come back. There is always something for everyone!  

We are planning new workshops, intensive training, fun programs and ideas as well as a chance for you to network with PTA leaders from all over the state.  Click here for the At-A-Glance schedule. We are committed to helping you honor the commitment you've made to help your students, families, communities, and school achieve and exceed their goals. 

You'll also be a valuable part of steering the direction of our association by participating in Bylaws and Resolution debates, election of the 2022-2024 officers, and using your voice to advocate for the needs of All Children. As you know, advocacy is the heartbeat of what we do. Come be a part of making the priorities for the coming year.  

When registering, please keep in mind the number of delegates your local unit PTA has. If you are unsure, please view this document which lists each local unit and how many delegates are allowed. You can send as many attendees as your PTA has a budget for, however voting delegates are based on total membership numbers for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. Please note, you must be registered by June 1st for voting delegate status, and registration closes July 5th.

All pre and post convention dates have now sold out.
The dates available for hotel rooms are 7/21-7/24.
7/24 will look grey on the calendar but it is available as a check out date
not a stay over date.
The hotel also reported to us they are 100% sold out. The only remaining rooms are the rooms in the Florida PTA room block. Make sure you are using our special link to book hotel rooms.

Please use this link to the Florida PTA special hotel pricing page. Make your reservations now to ensure your PTA discounted pricing. Booking through the resort online or directly with the resort will not allow you to take advantage of the discounted pricing. Many of the suites and villas are booked already, book today to ensure you have a room on site.

Average room prices will range from $159-$309, depending on size, location, and style. You can arrive early or extend your stay with the reduced rates depending on room type and availability.

Parking is free for those staying at the resort and for anyone that lives close and chooses to drive over daily.

The resort fee has been reduced to $9 and when you book your hotel room it will be reflected in the pricing.

All workshops, ticketed events, exhibitors, and General Meetings will be in one building located within just steps of each other. This hotel has ELEVATORS and lots of restrooms! We know that sounds silly, but it is a refreshing change of pace for us.

The comment period for the Bylaws Revision was open February 8-25, 2022.
This is the final document to come before the delegates for approval. Save the date, June 9, 2022 at 7pm, for a delegate informational webinar June 9, 2022.

We will have two (2) Resolutions coming before the convention delegates for approval.

From April 11 through April 22, 2022, Florida PTA members have an opportunity to comment on the resolutions which will be voted on during the 2022 Leadership Convention, July 21 - 24, 2022.

Each year the Resolutions committee brings forward resolutions for consideration by the convention body.

A separate submission is needed for each resolution whereas or resolve clause that you are addressing.

The receipt of each comment will be acknowledged after clicking Submit at the end of the form.

All comments will be shared with Florida PTA’s Resolutions Committee. The committee will review and consider every comment received and may use those comments to recommend amendments to the Florida PTA Board of Directors. The Board of Directors must approve any changes to the resolutions submitted by the committee.

The final version of the resolutions will be posted on the Florida PTA website on Wednesday, June 13, 2022. After this date, the resolutions cannot be changed.

The comment period will close Friday, April 22, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. EDT.
