A few new things are happening in 2019-20.........
Family Friendly Celebrations-In an effort to build Kehillah (community), this year will open with a Family Fun Day on Sunday, September 15th. This event will include food, games and an opportunity to meet other families while celebrating the start of the new year! In the spring, mark your calendars for an all new re-imagined family friendly Purim Palooza on Sunday, March 8th at 11:00 AM after Machane TBA. The celebration will include fun and games for the entire family!
Website- Good communication is essential. Therefore, next year we will be keeping an updated and accurate calendar on the Machane TBA page of the Temple website. By having one place where all of our events are kept, we hope to streamline communication and increase accuracy. With this goal in mind, in lieu of sending out a detailed "Month at a glance" and lengthy individual constant contacts for each event, we will be sending out abbreviated notifications directing families to access the website calendar for further details.
Erev Machane-Our Erev Machane programs for grades 3-6 will have a slightly different format next year. The fall Erev Machane-
Evening Edition on October 12th will be from 4 pm-8:30 pm. The spring Erev Machane-
Overnight Edition on March 21st will extend to an overnight. This schedule change will keep all the same fun and excitement, with the goal of increasing student participation and comfort with the overnight experience in the Spring.
- Enhanced Kehillah-Next year we will be continuing to enhance and increase our Kehillah (community) opportunities for Grades PreK-12. Kehillah programs are social activities geared toward relationship and community building.
