KWIK TRIP: Achieving Success Through Strong Workforce Relations
In 2012, Kwik Trip was ranked Number 1 among large companies on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Top Workplaces list for the second year. Kwik Trip maintains excellent workforce relations through a strong commitment to rewarding the efforts of their employees through profit-sharing, and seniority incentives including real estate interests and substantial vacation time. In addition, employees facing hardships benefit from Kwik Trip's Families Helping Families program, in which coworkers voluntarily pay into a fund to help their colleagues in need. This commitment to workforce excellence has resulted in Kwik Trip growing to over 400 stores employing more than 10,000 workers, since its humble beginnings in 1965.
Steve Wrobel is proud to say that he has been a Kwik Trip employee for 15 years! He has been using his background in education to develop and conduct leadership topics, while also helping out in a Public Relations role. Under his leadership, Kwik Trip has experienced a low rate of staff turnover in a highly competitive industry. Mr. Wrobel will discuss Kwik Trip's best practices in leadership, maintaining a corporate culture that results in low turnover, and the organization's continuous efforts toward quality and performance excellence.
