HOW DO SCHOLARS CHOOSE LEARNING MODULES?
Typically our conference workshops are designed for scholars to explore 3 modules each year of high school until all modules are completed at the culmination of junior year of high school. Covid-19 has forced everyone to change course on how programming is offered. Last year, we adjusted our workshops to a six week series over the summer. This year, we are offering fewer workshops with the option for students to choose which are needed for their personal growth. All modules are excellent choices.
The workshop modules are as follows:
LinkedIn
It is never to early to create your digital resume or learn how to finesse your LinkedIn page. LinkedIn pages are used for college admissions, scholarship submissions, interviews, internships, and employment. Utilized the opportunity to revised or updated information accordingly.
Game of Life
One of our most popular modules related to life skills, career path, budgeting and other aspects of financial literacy to teach scholars how to afford themselves post high school or college.
College Exploration
High school scholars will make a check list of schools, build a scholarship list and learn tips and strategies to apply to college. We will also answer questions scholars should think about with the application process, selecting a college, scholarships, asking schools for additional money and next steps to prepare for college.
