"The stress of being a member of a marginalized group whether by race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or age can profoundly impact a person's emotional and physical health. This workshop will examine the unique experiences of marginalized individuals which contribute to an increased vulnerability to developing eating disorders and body image conflicts. Cultural differences in body image perception, relationship with food and identity development will be explored.
