Phonemic Awareness: The Skills that They Need to Help Them Succeed!

Two of the best predictors of success in early reading are alphabet recognition and phonemic awareness. Developing phonemic awareness in your children is central in learning to read and spell. Participants will be provided with an overview of why developing phonemic awareness is critical to focus efforts in the early years. The training will focus on the program developed by Michael Heggerty. This professional learning session will focus on generalizable instructional procedures, modeling by the presenter, practice teaching of the ten focus skills, and analysis of video examples.

Event Cancellation : MIBLSI may cancel any training that does not have at least 10 people registered. In this case, MIBLSI would refund the registration fee, if any, to the participant or his/her employer.
