Agency supervisors play a key role in ensuring that recipients receive high-quality services and staff are provided with the support they need to develop the skills, knowledge, and values to do their jobs. Good supervision has been linked to positive staff outcomes like improved job satisfaction, higher morale, and learning evidence-based practices.

 

Unfortunately, most people who become supervisors aren’t offered training or coursework before taking on this important role. This can make an always challenging job even more difficult.  

In early 2025, we will offer three NEW webinars featuring topics of interest to supervisors:



• January 15, 2025, 2pm –4pm: “Guiding, Developing, and Evaluating Staff”. Michael Blady and Paul Margolies.

• February 4, 2025, 10am – 11:30am: “Supervision and Suicide Prevention: Supervising Practitioners Working With Individuals at Risk for Suicide”. Beth Brodsky, Christa LaBouliere, and Maureen Monahan.

• March 11, 2025, 10am - noon: “How Motivational Interviewing and Stages of Change Can Be Used Within the Supervision Process”. Nancy Covell, Rusty Foster, and Dwayne Mayes.
