You are cordially invited to attend the DISCA Annual Membership Meeting
from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the
Park Avenue Club.
The business meeting will start with an association update from DISCA's Executive Director, Bill Umbach. During this time, membership will vote on the nominated Board Members who will be elected for a three-year term.
Following the business meeting, there will be a presentation by Superior Safety Solutions: Managing an Unannounced OSHA Inspection
This one-hour engagement prepares employers, supervisors, and safety personnel to effectively manage an unannounced OSHA inspection from initial arrival through the closing conference. Participants will learn employer rights during inspections, how OSHA selects inspection targets, and the critical steps to take when a Compliance Safety and Health Officer (CSHO) arrives on-site. The session covers document requests, employee interviews, walkaround procedures, photography and evidence collection, handling subcontractors and temporary workers, and avoiding common mistakes that increase citation exposure. Participants will also learn strategies for maintaining control of the inspection process, preserving legal defenses, and properly documenting corrective actions and communications. Designed for company leadership, HR professionals, and safety managers, this course helps organizations reduce enforcement risk, improve inspection readiness, and respond confidently during OSHA investigations.
