Registration requirements:
  • Recommendation from a faculty member or mentor
  • 1/2 page letter of interest
  • $100 USD fee that covers breakfast, lunch, access to Amazon Web Services, and a course reception
This intensive, hands-on course will feature morning and afternoon sessions taught by expert faculty and technical assistants. All participants will acquire fundamental computational skills, appropriate study design, data interpretation, and overall literacy in bioinformatics with a focus on how to apply these skills to gene expression analysis.
Topics covered include:
• Intro to Unix and R
• Working with project metadata in R
• Differential gene expression analysis (RNAseq)
• Single cell transcriptomic analysis
