Parents,

The 2017 The First Tee Metro Tour schedule is below for your information. Please note that we have scheduled more events this year, and have included multiple events for each level.

Except for certain events (Par and girls-only events), participants must be at least 12 years of age and currently in Birdie, Eagle, or Ace levels of The First Tee. We cannot make exceptions to these criteria due to the need to maintain pace-of-play in return for the kindness of our hosts. For girls-only and Par level events, participants must be 9 years of age and participating at Par level (or above as indicated).

Participants are expected to walk and carry their own clubs throughout each event, and be able to play without assistance while maintaining pace-of-play of approximately 12-14 minutes per hole over 9 holes. Tournaments are 9-hole events unless otherwise indicated in the schedule.

The Team Event (#17) and the Caves Valley event (#19) are not shown on the registration page. The players for these events will be chosen by their chapters based on ability and number of events supported during the Metro Tour season schedule.

Fees include Metro Tour membership of $20 for the season, in addition to $10 per event, advance registration required. Participants wishing to play must sign up online. The fees help to defray costs. The number of players for most events will be restricted to ten from Howard County.

Participants are reminded of the following:
  • Signup must be in advance online.
  • A $20 Metro Tour membership is required, available online at event signup.
  • There is a nominal $10 fee per event, to be paid in advance.
  • Do not sign up unless you intend to play.
  • You are representing your chapter, therefore monitor your conduct accordingly.
  • Breaches of on-course etiquette, The First Tee Nine Core Values or norms of on-course conduct will be cause for disqualification from the current event and future events.
  • Inability to maintain pace-of-play may result in your group being moved to the next hole without completing the current one.
  • Wear acceptable golf course attire. Generally, shirts for males without collars or sleeves are prohibited. Do not wear cutoffs, yoga pants, leggings, gym shorts, jeans or cargo shorts or pants. Wear suitable athletic or golf shoes.
  • Wear a The First Tee of Howard County logo hat or shirt when playing in these events.
  • Transportation for players only will be available from Fairway Hills for away events on an arranged basis via The First Tee Howard County van.
  • All play will be conducted in accordance with the USGA Rules of Golf except as amended by the course host or Metro Tour officials.
