RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 18, 2026) — Registration is now open for the 2026 Run for Love 5K, a celebratory community race through Dorothea Dix Park on Saturday, June 6, benefiting Raleigh Pride and the LGBT Center of Raleigh.
Founded in 2019 in response to North Carolina’s "Bathroom Bill," Run for Love was created by local road race organizers, nOg Run Club and Trophy Brewing Co., which wanted to actively support the LGBTQ community. What began as a fundraiser for the LGBT Center of Raleigh has grown into one of the largest Pride 5Ks in the Southeast, drawing more than 2,000 runners annually and raising more than $100,000 to date.
"The annual Run for Love is one of our favorite events of the year, especially as it has always kicked off Pride Month in Raleigh," said Kori Hennessey, executive director of the LGBT Center of Raleigh. "We're excited to cheer on participants for the seventh year and are extremely grateful to see the level of support. Run for Love is a big day for awareness of LGBTQ+ communities and helps us raise necessary funds for the work we do year round."
Alex Warren of the nOg Run Club added: “Heading into the seventh year, we have seen consistent growth and support from day one with the Run for Love, including even a virtual year in 2020 that exceeded expectations. The energy has been incredible and we are aiming for a $50,000 donation headed to the LGBT Center and Raleigh Pride this year."
