FORT WAYNE, IN (Aug. 9, 2024) - Registration is open for Science Central’s Coding Club, which gives youth ages 9 to 14 a valuable opportunity to learn an in-demand skill.
Coding Club is a free, multi-week course. Participants will learn about coding using LaunchPads, which are handheld electronic circuit boards from TinkRworks. Equipped with touch sensors, lights, sounds, an accelerometer, and more, LaunchPads can be programmed to be an electronic board game, a light and sound show, a musical instrument, and more, using a drag-and-drop, block-based coding platform.
The club will run for a total of eight sessions, which start Sunday, Oct. 13. On session days, the club is held at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. During the registration process, adults will commit their camper to one of those two times for the duration of the club.
To register for Coding Club, visit Science Central’s website. Registration will close after Saturday, Oct. 5.
Coding Club is supported by the Indiana Space Grant Consortium.
