Following a court case, the Dept. of Health & Human Services withdrew a January 2021 final rule that would have caused certain agency rules to expire over time unless the agency took action to renew them.
 
Particulate Matter
The Environmental Protection Agency made its policy assessment for the reconsideration of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Particulate Matter. The National Oceanic & Atmospheric Agency recently published a related report.
 
Consumer Financial Protection
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau issued an interpretive rule to clarify the ability of states to enforce provisions of the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010. Effective May 26.
