Have you ever wondered about the history of Reindeer Games?

It all started a long, long time ago… The Year was 2019. Looking back at those pre-COVID times, they were full of holiday traditions that make us equal parts nostalgic and anxious today – shopping in crowded malls, store shelves overflowing with gift ideas, long, not physically distanced, lineups to visit Santa, social gatherings with buffet-style potluck meals where we would all use the same serving spoon … oh those were the days!

Had Santa’s Reindeer known then, the COVID and supply chain roller coaster that lie ahead, they might not have approached Santa with their grand plan to help Santa out during a busy time of year while also attracting a bit more glory for themselves. They might have held off until 2022, 2023… 

Back to the History...

The reindeer devised a plan to help Santa and achieve some glory by having a different reindeer pack some special items in Santa's sleigh each day. For that 24-hour period day the “Reindeer of the Day” would have their time in the spotlight. When the clock strikes midnight, another reindeer would come forward with more special items! They would all have their time in the spotlight.
 
All but one reindeer that is… One of the reindeer on Santa’s team has a name that causes trouble in today’s cyber age. Her name can lead to emails being blocked and daily promotions missed. She, who can’t be named, has graciously offered to cheer the rest of Santa’s team on from behind the scenes. If you sing the Rudolph Red Nose Reindeer song to yourself, or are familiar with the classic, ‘Twas the Night before Christmas poem by Clement Clarke Moore, by the end of the promotion you should be able to figure out which reindeer offered to sit this one out.
What About the Elves?

Not to be outdone, Santa’s elves came up with an idea of their own. They don’t want individual attention. They are happy to be recognized as a team. They put together a list of promotions that last the entire duration of Reindeer Games. In fact, they are available starting TODAY! and are valid right through Tuesday, November 30th. You can order them today or add them onto an order at any point during the week.

Online Only Shopping Event

Reindeer Games is an ONLINE shopping event only. From today through November 30th (including the weekend) you will receive a daily email containing limited-time promotional items. These daily Reindeer Specials are only valid for 24 hours. To enjoy the daily deals, you must complete your checkout prior to 11:59pm on the day of the promotion. Please do not accumulate orders in your cart in anticipation of submitting one order at the event of the week. If you see something you want, submit your online order right away. Once the 24-hour period is up, the daily special will be gone. 

Are You New to Online Ordering?

If you are new to online ordering or are having problems placing your online order, we will gladly walk you through the process or help you find what you need. Please call the store (905-862-0666) during normal business hours for assistance. We can only help you place orders for the current days' promotions. Requests to order items from a previous day will not be accepted.

Pickup and Delivery - Begins December 14th

Reindeer Games is an ONLINE shopping event only. Daily promotional items are NOT available in store. Unlike our standard online shopping experience that typically offers same day turnaround, all Reindeer Games items still need to be shipped from the North Pole. Our goal is to have all orders ready for pickup beginning Tuesday, December 14th (subject to COVID/shipping delays).

Flat Rate Shipping - $15

If you require shipping, there will be a flat rate shipping charge of $15 plus applicable taxes regardless of the number of items/days that you order, shipped to one address. You can add shipping to your order at any point during the week but we encourage you to do so on your first order so that you don't forget.

Ordering Other Items? – While you’re on the website, please take a tour and see what other items we have available. There are lots of fabrics, kits, books and more! If you order other items, the flat rate charge will continue to apply. These items will ship with your Reindeer Games order.

Additional Shipping Charges on Selected Items: There are a small number of items available during this promotion that could incur additional charges for shipping. These items will be clearly identified during the promotion. Any additional charges will be applied after your order has been submitted. You will be contacted once we know what the additional charges will be.

The elves know that you have been very busy in your sewing room the last couple of years. Don't be fooled into thinking that because the wool mat is thick, you don't have to protect the table surface underneath. Steam will penetrate through the mat and could damage the table or counter you are pressing on. Always make sure to cover the table surface. It's better to be safe than sorry!
