The inauguration of Dr. Kina Mallard, The 20th President of Reinhardt University

Festivities are set to celebrate Dr. Kina Mallard's inauguration this Friday.

Events include an art exhibit open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the lobby of the Falany Performing Arts Center. The RU Jazz Ensemble will present a concert Tuesday at the FPAC, while the Symphonic Winds will hold a concert Thursday evening.

On Wednesday at 7 p.m., students are invited to the Student Inauguration Event at the Bannister Glasshouse to engage with their new president.

Friday will bring an array of events, including a prayer service at the Hagan Chapel at 9 a.m., the Inauguration Service at the FPAC at 2 p.m. and the Inauguration Gala at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Conference Center beginning at 6 p.m.

Inauguration Week will culminate Sunday afternoon with a concert by the University Choir.

Last week to register for Master of Fine Arts in creative writing
Enrollment is open for Reinhardt University's Master of Fine Arts in creative writing. The program invites writers to further their education with inspiration and instruction from well-known novelists, poets and screenwriters. The deadline to apply is April 18.

To meet the challenge of creating a more vibrant campus, as well as enhance campus and community partnership, Reinhardt University is launching the "Light the Hardt" campaign to support the purchase, installation, and maintenance of lights for the home field of Reinhardt's football, soccer and lacrosse programs.
