I hope this email finds you well on this sunny 25 ^th day of September. While it may not be as memorable as the night referred to by Earth, Wind & Fire , the items below may help you out today, tomorrow and beyond.

Like last night, tonight is a busy one across our community so I’ll get right to it….

Tonight our Youth, Human Services, and Education Committee will meet at M.S 51, with Superintendent Anita Skop’s appearance on the agenda.
Also tonight the Southwest Brooklyn Tenant Union meets at 201 Columbia Street, and a Participatory Budgeting information session will be happening at the Park Slope Library.
Tomorrow night our Landmarks/Land Use Committee will meet at the 78^th precinct beginning at 6:00 pm. The agenda includes a presentation from The Department of City Planning(DCP) & The Old American Can Factory .
The Federal Environmental Protection Agency(EPA), as discussed at last night’s CAG meeting, has rejected NYC’s proposal to substitute a tunnel for the CSO retention tanks in the Gowanus Canal. Commuting problems and a bill, Introduced by Assemblymember Ortiz, fitting of this past Saturday’s Garden Crawl, is now law.
Alternate Side Parking and parking meters will be in effect tomorrow, September 26th. You may also want to mark your calendar that Alternate Side Parking will be suspended next Monday and Tuesday (September 30 ^th & October 1 ^st ) for Rosh Hashanah.
