My mom had a way of keeping all the details of her daily life in good order with calendars in every room, all our schedules color-coded, and her menus prominently displayed in the kitchen that she prepared every weekday before working at the factory from 3:00 to 11:00 pm.
I know it was not easy for my parents to manage such an arduous daily routine, but somehow, they made it work. Being so well-organized was a huge advantage.
Because cleaning and keeping things orderly was such a big deal in our home, I learned to incorporate these good habits and rituals into my daily management routine.
Overall, I must say, order makes sense to me, and I feel off-balance when things are in disarray!
