Wall is First Candidate to Officially File for 22 nd Congressional District

SUGAR LAND, TX – Today, local businesswoman Kathaleen Wall became the first candidate to officially file paperwork with the Republican Party of Texas to have her name placed on the March 3, 2020 Primary ballot to replace retiring Congressman Peter Olson (R-TX) in Congressional District 22. Wall made a public announcement that she was seeking the office back in September at a large kick-off event hosted at the Republic Country Club, but today’s filing will officially place her name on the ballot according to state election laws. Wall has been running television ads in the district for over two weeks already.

“The people of Texas need leaders in Congress who will fight to build the wall, stand up for the Constitution and our God given rights, and protect the unborn,” explained Wall. “I’m running to support President Trump’s agenda, fight to stop illegal immigration, and put Americans first.”

Wall was raised on an East Texas ranch and is the sixth of seven children in her family. She currently resides in Sugar Land and attends Second Baptist Church with her husband of over 20 years, Holloway (Holly). Congressional District 22 is comprised of Fort Bend and portions of Brazoria and Harris Counties.
