Release and Renew 2022:
A Spiritual Practice for Lent
Discussion Group
Wednesdays, Through April 13
7:00 pm
In this season of change, Release and Renew 2022: A Spiritual Practice for Lent will help you let go of fears, negativity, and doubt as you renew your awareness of the good in and around you. This year’s booklet offers daily affirmations, scriptures, and essays for the 40 days and seven Sundays of Lent. With specific ways to release unhelpful thoughts, the booklet inspires a more peaceful and open heart as you overcome what does not serve you. Note: This discussion group will also parallel the UCL Sunday lessons.

The One Minute Prayer for Peace
The One Minute Prayer is a great way to support world peace, including peace for the people of Ukraine.

During World War II, an adviser to Prime Minister Winston Churchill organized a group of people to stop whatever they were doing at a certain time each night to pray and usher in peace, safety and security. They did this every day and it was as if the city stood still, such was the power of prayer. The result was so overwhelming that the bombings were stopped after a short time!

Now we are organizing again, a group of people of different nationalities, to spend a minute praying for the peace, well-being and security of our countries, for an end to the problems that oppress, and for Spirit-guided decisions of leaders around the world.

We pray around the clock and how powerful it is to do so consciously at the following times:
United States 6 p.m.
Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain 4 pm
Portugal and Canary Islands 3:00 pm
Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina and Chile 5 pm
Honduras, Venezula, and Brazil 6:00 pm
Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama 7:00 pm
Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Mexico, El Salvador and Guatemala 8 pm
