Hello Carole Ann,
Throughout my 20 years of being a life coach I have learned that we can deny, doubt or try to drown our traumas but they have a slippery way of coming to the surface and prevent us from progressing.
Sadness, anger, shame, anxiety, distrust, paranoia or poor confidence and despair are the hidden results of early trauma.
You don’t have to have been in a war zone to feel the scars of deep hurt and pain. It can be unkind words, physical abuse, real harm or intense sadness. We humans are complex and sensitive beasts.
But it’s through it and not around it we must go to release the shadows blocking out our brilliant joy.
Cue this week’s podcast guest who is a coach, healer, empath and author of Heal Yesterday’s Trauma Jennie Bayliss. Her words show us how we carry hurt from the past and how to recover from that right now.
Her wonderful book shows you how to heal, feel better and be happier.
Trigger warning – this episode contains references to sexual abuse.
