Relief Hours For Your Staff
Dear Colleagues:
With the COVID-19 situation hitting every veterinary practice in various ways, including ours, we would like to extend an offer to you and your team that we hope benefits everyone.
As you know, we remain open and are seeing and hospitalizing patients 24/7. To protect staff and members of the community, we have implemented a curbside-only service.  We are extremely careful to furlough or quarantine those team members that may have been exposed to the virus or are caring for someone requiring quarantine. This puts us in a situation of potentially not always having enough staff at the ready on a day-to-day or shift-by-shift basis (at this point in time, no member of the Burleson team has been directly affected by the virus).
We’ve heard about the difficult decision to either lay off team members or cut hours that is occurring in our veterinary community. This is an unprecedented time and there is no roadmap to guide us through. It is a tough but necessary decision for some.  
To help all involved, we are creating a relief pool of staff including DVMs, technicians, assistants, and client service team members. Please let your team know that if they are interested in being in the relief pool for Burleson Animal Emergency Hospital, they can reach out to me directly at  or on my cell, 817.757.9699.
Rest assured, if one of your team members decides to make themselves available for the relief pool, they will not be eligible for hire at our hospital or boarding facility for a period of at least one year. This is purely a temporary effort to provide hours to those who need them, and at the same time, ensure adequate staffing levels are available to assist ill or injured pets during this extraordinary time in our history.
