A vibrant curriculum taught by enthusiastic teachers to engage students with the joy of Jewish life, holidays, Torah, prayer, ethics, history and culture.
Grades K-3 - Sunday
Grades 4-6 - Sunday and Wednesday
Grade 7 - Sunday and Wednesday or Thursday

Jr. Chai
A preschool program (ages 3-4) introducing our youngest students to Jewish holidays, customs and values. Meeting once a month on Sunday mornings, the children enjoy the atmosphere of temple by participating in art projects, hands on activities, music and holiday celebrations.

Pre-Confirmation for 8th-9th Grades
Instructor - Karin Beitel, Director of Lifelong Learning
What comes after Bar or Bat Mitzvah at TBC...Pre-Confirmation!
Maybe you still have questions. What does it mean to be Jewish? What do I believe? How does being Jewish fit into my life?
Maybe you'd like to continue seeing your friends from religious school.
Maybe you'd like to participate in social action projects you care about.
It's easy to stay connected to your Judaism, to TBC and to your friends by participating in Pre-Confirmation once or twice a month on Sunday afternoons. You've done all the hard work preparing for Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Now just relax and enjoy talking and learning about Jewish life in new and unexpected ways.

Confirmation - 10th Grade
Instructor - Rabbi Rachel Bearman
Our 10th grade class will prepare our students to confirm their identities as Jewish adults.  We will investigate ancient Jewish ideals and stories, explore creative ways to express ourselves as Jewish individuals, and figure out for ourselves what it means to be ethical Jewish people.  One of the most important elements of our 10th grade program will be our trip to Washington, DC where students will spend the weekend learning to be advocates with hundreds of teenagers from Reform synagogues. The year concludes with the class leading a beautiful and moving service of confirmation during Shavuot.

Madrichim Program (for students in grades 8-12)
The religious school needs student volunteers (madrichim) to assist in classrooms and in the office on Sunday mornings and Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Karin Beitel, Director of Lifelong Learning at kbeitel@templebnaichaim.org.
