Dear Religious School Families,
I hope this finds you well. I am writing to share an update to our Temple COVID policy. Based on the continued decline in cases, hospitalizations, and the increase of vaccinations in our community, TEOT and the Religious School are ready to move into the next stage. The decisions I am sharing today were made in conjunction with our Jewish values and scientific data, along with input from Staff, Clergy, Teachers, our Board, and feedback from members.
· Effective Friday, April 8th, we will have a “mask optional” policy inside and outside. This means that masks are not required for attendance at and participation in Religious School as of Sunday,
April 10th.
· We will have surgical masks available for those that would prefer to wear one. We also ask anyone who feels sick to please refrain from joining us in person.
· Since will now be able to serve and enjoy food inside as well as outside, our model seders will be held inside on Sunday, April 10th for our Pre-K through 2nd grade students and our 3rd through 12th grade students on Wednesday, April 13th.
· We are excited about the possibilities for community programming stemming from this. Please keep your eyes and ears open for social and educational programming coming at the end of this school year and into the summer.
It is very important that we are aware that there are still people in our school community who are not able to, or who are not comfortable, not wearing a mask. We pride ourselves on being an accepting and inclusive community and want to make sure everyone's personal choice is accepted and respected.
We want to thank the Research Committee for their guidance and commitment over the last two years. They will still be available for guidance if the situation requires.
We also want to express our appreciation to all of you – we can’t thank you enough for your support, flexibility, and understanding as we have navigated these uncertain times together.
