What's the Buzz? What's Happening?

We've had a very few months and many fun and exciting events. Here's a recap of the highlights.

FAMILY WORKSHOPS for the Dalet, Hey and Vav classes.
Dalet workshop -- preparing for Pesach : Rabbi Steve taught about the symbols of the seder table, and we made handpainted seder plates.
Hey workshop -- beginning the B'nei Mitzvah journey: We discussed the meaning of a bar/bat mitzvah and families created posters to envision their own journeys "up to Sinai."
Vav workshop -- Tallit, t'filin and yad: Rabbi Steve demonstrated how to "lay t'filin" and each family made a beautiful yad to use at the student's bar/bat mitzvah. (This project is supported by the TBT Sisterhood.)

GIMEL CHAGIGAT HA-SEFER SERVICE. On March 15th, Gimel families enjoyed a delicious dinner (generously provided by an anonymous donor). Afterward, parents presented the each student with a siddur with a special cover. The students shared poems about words in the siddur and then led prayers with joy and ruach! A great night for all!
