The Union Farewell Tour, happening May 5–9, is a special opportunity to honor the past, enjoy the present, and look forward to the future of student life at The Beach.

Construction Update: Friendship Walk Stairs

Construction is progressing on the east side of the USU, where the Friendship Walk stairs are being reimagined to improve accessibility and safety. This area remains an active construction zone—please follow all posted signage and detours when visiting campus. For construction updates, visit the Construction Updates page on the Future U website.

Planning Ahead: Fall 2025

When the fall semester begins, the USU will be closed—but campus services and programs are still fully operational from new locations across campus. Here's what returning students, faculty and staff can expect:

  • Relocated ASI programs, student services and meeting spaces
  • Alternative food options located strategically around campus
  • Continued student life and engagement events across campus
  • New wayfinding signage and pedestrian routes around the site
  • Increased outreach to help the community navigate the transition

We’re committed to ensuring that the needs of students and the broader campus community are met during construction, and we appreciate your continued support and flexibility as we reimagine the heart of campus. Please visit our relocation pages on the Future U website for all the details.
