We're thrilled to reflect on another unforgettable summer camp season! Our Club kids had an incredible time exploring Southwest Virginia. They enjoyed a fascinating visit to the Museum of Transportation, where they discovered the rich history of travel, innovation, and exploration. Refreshing afternoons at their local community pools, an exciting trip to the WDBJ7 TV station, and the K92 radio station, which allowed members to peek behind the scenes of live broadcasting, see how media is created, understand the different roles involved, and potentially inspire future career interests. These are just a few of the over 100 amazing trips our kids took this summer. It's been a joy to witness their curiosity and enthusiasm throughout this amazing summer!

Senator Tim Kaine Visits the Club

We were honored to welcome Senator Tim Kaine to our Vinton Baptist Club. During his visit, Senator Kaine met with our CEO, Rebekah Meadows, along with Club parents, board members, school principals, and staff. Together, we discussed the critical role after-school programs play in youth development and the transformative impact of 21st Century funding on young people across Virginia.

Parents shared heartfelt testimonials, emphasizing how essential our Clubs are to their children’s growth and well-being, and how deeply our programs benefit the broader community. The visit served as a powerful reminder of the need for widespread support for our mission at every level of government.

A sweet lesson from Heritage Apiary

Our kids at the 9th Street Club had a truly unique learning experience when Heritage Apiary came to visit! They learned all about the importance of bees in our ecosystem and got a closer look at how these tiny creatures impact our world. It was a fascinating and educational day for everyone.

21st Century funding is released!

We are excited to announce that the long-awaited FY25 federal funding for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) program has officially been released! This is more than just a funding milestone; it’s a massive victory for our youth, our families, and our entire community. Thanks to this support, we can continue offering the high-quality, enriching after-school programs that empower our Club Kids to grow, learn, and thrive beyond the classroom.
