What Do You Remember?

Recently before online worship, Facebook viewers shared what they remembered about their first visit to Carmel. For most, it involved the warmth and hospitality of the Carmel family.

Click here to enjoy these reflections and consider how YOU can help someone feel welcomed at Carmel in the year ahead!

Praise for the opportunity to worship on Christmas Eve - and celebrate Immanuel - God with us! If you missed the service or wish to rewatch the worship or teaching, click here.

Praise for the team and technology that allowed us to worship together over 3 services in the Worship Center, Student Center, Uptown Auditorium and on more than 550 devices online!

Praise for the Welcome Team - who served up hospitality at each on-campus venue inside, as well as outside in the rain!

Church Office Closed
As the church office is closed this week, note these reminders:
  • There will be NO Online Prayer Gathering or Wednesday Night activities (Dec 30).
  • If you need pastoral care, call the church at 704.847.8575 and when the auto-attendant answers, press 3300 to leave a message for the pastor on call.
  • If you wish to drop off an end-of-year gift, you may do so at the Main Entrance Welcome Desk's secure drop box. Our security guard will be there Monday, December 28 through Thursday, December 31 from 8:30am - 4:30pm.
This Sunday - January 3: Walking with Jesus
Student Teaching Pastor Jason Salyer kicks off the year with a stand-alone message on  Walking with Jesus: Fear, Faith, and the Glory of Christ. And we return to worship at 9:30 (on campus + online) and 11:00 (on campus).

Click here to register for on-campus worship.

Big 3 Prayer Calendars will be available for pick up in the Gathering Space or a drive thru in front of the Student Center from 10:30am - 12:30pm.
Year-End Gift Reminders
If you wish to make a year-end gift, please know:
  • Campus Drop Off: The church will be open weekdays until 4:30pm (except for Friday, January 1).
  • Online Giving: This convenient option is available here.
  • Care Act Benefits: If you itemize your taxes, you may be able to deduct qualified charitable contributions. Normally, there is a cap on how much someone can donate to charity tax-free, which is 60% of a taxpayer's adjusted gross income (AGI). The CARES Act raised this limit to 100% of AGI for the 2020 tax year. It also allows taxpayers who don't itemize to deduct up to $300 in charitable donations in 2020.
Thank you again for your investment in the mission of Carmel. Have questions about giving? Contact Claire in the Finance Office at 704.847.8575, ext. 3006.
