TRCC Staff and Members attend Ohio Manufacturers’ Association Workforce Summit 

On November 14th, Rose Britner of Pinnacle Plastic Products joined the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association Workforce Summit as a panelist on recruiting untapped talent. Rose shared strategies like meeting applicants where they are, focusing on eagerness to learn, and offering clear pathways for promotion.

She also highlighted Pinnacle's partnership with the Northwest Ohio Manufacturing Alliance (NOMA), a program of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, to provide ESL classes through the Good Jobs Challenge Grant, fostering engagement and retention.

The November Focus on Business Lunch Series, presented by KeyBank, wrapped up last week featuring a keynote presentation from Matt Schroeder, Interim President at The University of Toledo, who shared his vision for UToledo to be the regional force powering opportunities to learn, care, work, and play. Over 130 guests joined us for the final event of the year.
