Over the past eight years, KCDC has received support from
Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC)
, which is different from other funding, because Cuyahoga County residents voted to create this agency with local dollars from a dedicated cigarette tax levied within the county. Since its establishment in 2007, CAC has awarded over 1,200 grants, distributing over $125 million in tax dollars to more than 300 organizations in the county.

Alber Building Renovation Complete
Construction has been completed on the facade renovation of
, 17019-25 Lorain Avenue. The goal of the renovation project was to retain the historic character of the building while enhancing the building's curb appeal. With assistance from the City of Cleveland's
Storefront Renovation Program
, all the storefront windows and doors were replaced, uncovering historic building details. In addition, decorative light fixtures were added to illuminate the exterior of the building. Masonry repairs were made, too.
The remodeling of the interior center storefront was completed in late summer and is now the new Cleveland home of
Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur
. The westerly storefront, totaling 2,600 square feet, and 3,600 square feet of space on the second floor remain available for lease.
