In Memory of Dale Biggers

We sadly announce that DFI member and this year’s recipient of DFI’s Distinguished Service Award, Dale Biggers of Boh Bros. Construction in New Orleans, passed away this morning. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, all at Boh Bros. and the many in the industry who worked with Dale. We are pleased his wife, daughter and Boh Bros. representatives Harald Baur and Robert Boh will be with us at DFI’s Annual Conference next week in Vegas to pay tribute.

New Chair for DFI Middle East

Join us in welcoming Salah Al Dilimi as the new chair of the DFI Middle East Regional Chapter. He previously served as a vice chair of the chapter. Al Dilimi is the rail infrastructure, maintenance manager in the Rail Agency within the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai, UAE.

Oct. 25: Abstract deadline date extended for SuperPile’22 being held June 15-17, 2022, in St. Louis

Nov. 19: Abstracts are being accepted for indoor presentations and outdoor demonstrations at the HPW-DFI Helical Piles-Tiebacks-Anchors Tradeshow and Educational Seminar, April 27-28, 2022, in Bonner Springs, Kansas.

Dec. 3: Presentation abstracts are sought for next year’s S3: Slopes, Slides and Stabilization conference, July 26-28, 2022, in Nashville.

Dec. 15: Abstracts are being accepted for Vol. 16, Special Edition of the DFI Journal on Ground Improvement

Jan. 14: Call for abstracts is open for technical presentations and panel sessions at DFI47-Annual Conference on Deep Foundations, held Oct. 4-7 in National Harbor, Maryland.

Jan. 14: The abstract portal opens on Oct. 13 to submit abstracts for the 20th Annual Student Paper Competition and Young Professor Paper Competition. Winners will present their papers at DFI47-Annual Conference on Deep Foundations, held Oct. 4-7 in National Harbor, Maryland.
