Saying Goodbye to a Pillar of Our Community

Trailblazer George O’Leary passed away peacefully, Monday, September 25th at the age of 92.

O’Leary immigrated from Nenagh, Ireland in 1957. He became a U.S. citizen and found his way to Tucson, AZ. in 1970. O'Leary developed the Rincon County Mobile Home Park thanks to his very own construction business. He went on to build more parks and won many awards for his efforts. He became nationally known for his service and support for both Arizona ARVC and National ARVC.

O'Leary made many generous donations to children’s hospitals around the country and made a large impact on those that he interacted with. He also made donations to Tucson Medical Center and several other organizations.

Everyone at CalOHA and the Parks around California send our support to his loved ones and the community in Arizona at this difficult time.

He will surely be missed.

AB1757 Has Passed, Are You Prepared?

With Assembly Bill 1757 on the Governor’s desk, waiting to be signed, we wanted to ensure your Park websites are up to the new regulations as soon as possible.

AB1757 is a bill that will allow plaintiffs to sue companies whose websites and mobile apps do not conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. WCAG standards are guidelines to ensure websites and app screens are accessible and understandable to all users.

A few weeks ago we posted accessiBe as our Supplier of the Week and with these changes coming we wanted to provide you a jump start to get your sites compliant and to ensure they STAY complaint. One of the benefits of accessiBE is that their systems scan your site regularly to ensure compliance no matter how the laws change or how often you change your data.

Not only will accessiBe keep you out of potential legal trouble, but it opens your website to a much larger group of people who couldn’t previously access your information.
