Dear Friends and Neighbors:
Before I get to the content of this newsletter, I would like to take a moment to remember Salinas Mayor Joe Gunter. It is with a heavy heart that we celebrate the life of our Mayor, friend, mentor, colleague and fellow member of Monterey County. Under his leadership, public safety facilities were upgraded, a new library was built, and Salinas was made a better place to live and work. His commitment to the community was showcased by his role as Mayor, his time spent serving our country in the United States Marine Corps, his years as an officer and detective of the Salinas Police Department, the countless volunteer hours he gladly offered up and so much more.
Joe Gunter left a lasting impact on so many people and he will be deeply missed, but he will live on in this community for a very long time. All that I have learned in my time spent with Joe has made me a better leader, which gives me the confidence in knowing that I am the best person for Monterey County District 4 Supervisor. In a time of uncertainty for our country and for Monterey County, real leadership is needed. I will be that leader.
With that, this week I was very proud to announce my most recent endorsement from the
Monterey Peninsula-Seaside Ministerial Alliance
. I have spent time with their President, Pastor Murray, their Vice President, Pastor Lusk, and their Secretary/Treasurer/Advisor, Pastor Smith, and I am so pleased to have their support and that of their congregations.
To endorse my campaign for Monterey County Supervisor,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend, and as always, thank you for your continued support.
Stay safe. Stay well.
