Castle High School faculty, students, church family and our entire community are struggling with the sad news of the loss of the Rinehart family during their return from Castle's first appearance in the Grand National Finals Championships on November 12, 2016- just one month ago. That championship performance viewed by music lovers from across the nation featured the beautiful voice of soloist, Sophie Rinehart. When a community suffers a tragic loss, many look for ways to understand and also ask themselves what they can do to help. Many members of the band community- a community which stretches across the nation because of it's common love of music and each other- would like to contribute to something positive in memory of Sophie and the Rinehart family. The Castle Band Boosters and family are pleased to announce the Castle Band Program Fund, a permanently endowed fund established in 2015 through the Warrick County Community Foundation. This fund will provide annual scholarships in memory of Sophie Rinehart and will be available to students in the Castle band program.
If you wish to make a charitable gift in Sophie's honor and memory to support the Castle High School Band Program,
click on the DONATE NOW at the top of this newsletter. You will be directed to the Community Foundation website where you may select the CASTLE BAND PROGRAM FUND in the dropdown menu. Your gift will become part of a community band family effort to help create an even stronger future for students, music, and the Castle High School Band program, in loving memory of a beautiful, talented young lady,
Sophie Rinehart.
